#1 WordPress Custom Dashboard Plugin

A Crisis of Cognitive Load
To understand the friction points within WordPress, we conducted preliminary user interviews and usability tests with a diverse cohort of users—ranging from extreme power users to non-technical novices.
Legacy Architecture
The default interface is stuck in a blog-centric mental model, failing to support the complex structures of modern e-commerce and application sites.
The Plugin Paradox
To bridge feature gaps, users are forced to rely on third-party plugins. This floods the dashboard with clashing UI patterns, aggressive notifications, & disorganized widgets.
Fragmented Experience
The result is a "noisy," inconsistent environment that creates a steep learning curve for new users & slows down daily management.

The Solution
A Bespoke Digital Workspace
To transform the chaotic default interface into a professional product suite, we utilized WP Adminify to implement a three-tier design strategy

Audit & Declutter
We analyzed the Information Architecture, hiding unnecessary menu items and suppressing "bloat" notifications that confuse non-technical editors.

Re-Architected Navigation (Information Architecture)
We decluttered the cognitive load by restructuring the sidebar. Using the Menu Editor, we grouped related plugins, renamed technical jargon to user-friendly terms, and hid "bloat" menus that non-technical users never need to touch.

Modernized UI & Accessibility
To solve the "legacy design" issue, we applied a modern UI template with a native Dark Mode. This not only improves visual hierarchy but also reduces eye strain for administrators managing content for long periods.
Lumentra Labs stepped in to define the visual language and User experience that powers WP Adminify.

What Lumentra Labs Did
We partnered with the WP Adminify team to design the first MVP, focusing on:
Identifying user needs
Enabling complete dashboard customization
Clear navigation & hierarchy
Intuitive, zero-learning-curve design
Maximize productivity and reduce friction.
Scalable design system for future features
Crafted for intuitive usability and delight at every touchpoint.

A beautiful UI attracts users, but a frictionless UX keeps them.
